Bob’s farming background allows him to remain current with issues in the field, as well as the office. Bob and his wife Nancy have lived in Danville, IL for 30 years. Bob grew up on a family farm of grain and pork production in Sangamon County. Following college, he farmed, in partnership with his father-in-law, a grain and cattle feeding operation in Menard County. Bob holds a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Economics from Illinois State University and an MBA from the University of Illinois. Prior to his 13-year tenure with First Midwest, Bob provided farm management analysis and advice to hundreds in a 17-year career with the U. of I’s Farm Business Farm Management program.
Bob stays involved in his community by serving on the Vermilion County Farm Bureau Foundation, Provena United Samaritans Medical Center Foundation, and Douglas Discovery Garden boards. He serves in an advisory capacity for work done at Danville Area Community College and the Danville Family YMCA, while participating in Kiwanis and First Presbyterian Church activities.
